Here’s the First Teaser Trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story With Felicity Jones and Forest Whitaker

As promised by a teaser-teaser trailer, the first teaser trailer for Rogue One (whose full title is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story) has landed. As the dust around The Force Awakens and its hefty marketing campaign has just begun to settle, prepare for a lot more excitement.

Felicity Jones plays one of the titular rogues—and a particularly roguish one at that. She’s been on her own since the age of 15 and has collected quite the rap sheet, which makes her the perfect candidate to help steal the plans to the Empire’s newest massive weapon (aka the Death Star). Star Wars superfans will be happy to see that Jones’ character is joined by a younger Mon Mothma. Also in the trailer: Forest Whitaker making some portentous statements, some Stormtroopers clad in black, and a few AT-ATs for good measure. No sign of Darth Vader yet, but don’t lose hope—there are plenty of trailers to come. The movie hits theaters Dec. 16.
