Here Is the First Trailer for Swiss Army Man aka That Movie in Which Daniel Radcliffe Plays a Farting Corpse

As Kyle Buchanan reported from this year’s Sundance Film Festival, Swiss Army Man, starring Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe, is a very weird, undeniably unique movie:

This is … a movie where Dano and Radcliffe make out underwater while Dano is dressed like Mary Elizabeth Winstead, a movie where Radcliffe pukes up buckets of water that Dano eagerly swigs, and a movie where Radcliffe stares at a musty Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and then grows a stiff and mighty erection, which Dano then uses as a compass to point the way back to civilization.

But all anyone who saw the movie could talk about was the fact that Radcliffe plays a farting corpse. This notable characteristic becomes apparent pretty early in the first official trailer for Swiss Army Man, as Dano—playing a man who has all but given up on ever being rescued after being stuck on a deserted island for years—suddenly comes upon Radcliffe’s body, washed ashore. The rest of the trailer looks just as bizarre as audiences have described it, and while most reviews point to the movie itself being not very good or at least for very specific tastes, it’s hard to imagine that it won’t at least be a one-of-a-kind moviegoing experience. We’ll all get a chance to take a boatride on Daniel Radcliffe’s farting corpse (yep, that happens, too) when Swiss Army Man is released on June 17.
