Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be any more Batman movies, here comes the trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie, to remind you that there can and will be more Batman in our lives. Luckily, as fans of The LEGO Movie will remember, this is no ordinary Batman—this is Batman voiced by Will Arnett.
This LEGO Movie spinoff comes from director Chris McKay, who will have to work pretty hard to recapture the comedic magic that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller brought to the original. But if this trailer is any indication, McKay might just pull it off. Instead of doing the usual Batman movie things, like grappling with the morality of killing, or just wincing at Superman, this trailer promises a Batman that beat boxes, drops mics, and noshes on lobster thermidor—and yes, saves the city at some point. “Because I’m Batman.” The movie hits theaters Feb. 10, 2017.
