Radiohead’s plans for 2016 are finally taking shape. In January, the band announced that it would appear at a series of summer festivals in Germany, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, Iceland, and Portugal. And today, on the band’s website, Dead Air Space, the group revealed that its remaining 2016 shows will include stops in Amsterdam, Paris, London, Mexico City, and, yes, New York and Los Angeles—Radiohead’s first concerts since 2012.

This is just the latest sign that Radiohead is preparing to release its next studio album—its ninth overall and first since 2011’s The King of Limbs. (Not that the band members haven’t kept busy on their own: In the intervening years, singer Thom Yorke released Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes and Atoms for Peace’s Amok, drummer Philip Selway put out Weatherhouse, and multi-instrumentalist Jonny Greenwood released film soundtracks for Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master and Junun.) In October, the band created a new company, called Dawn Chorus LLP, just as they had done in advance of 2007’s In Rainbows and The King of Limbs. And the banner image on the band’s newly updated tour page definitely looks like a Radiohead album cover—especially the LP-shaped version the band included with its tour-announcing tweet. Moreover, both Selway and Greenwood confirmed in 2015 that the band were getting back to work in the studio. Regardless of what comes next, this should be an exciting few months for Radiohead fans who have been waiting, patiently, for something to happen
