The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand Does Uncanny Impressions of Celebrities Giving Oscar Speeches

When he’s not busy evading and/or killing zombies, The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand likes to show off his chops as a killer impressionist. We’ve already seen his spot-on Rust Cohle and his extensive arsenal of nano-impressions—in which he distills a celebrity’s entire essence down to a few uncanny seconds of gesticulated dialogue, pegging each impression to a scenario that, though totally weird, perfectly brings out his targets’ particular quirks.

Of course, the true test of any great talent is whether you can perform live, without a safety net. Jimmy Kimmel put Marquand to just that test on Tuesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with a twist: Kimmel would select the celebrities, and each would be giving their Oscars acceptance speech. What followed was a fun round of impressionist improv, and Marquand didn’t disappoint. And while his Matthew McConaughey, Justin Timberlake, and Kevin Spacey were each amazing, Marquand’s greatest accomplishment was how he managed to evoke longtime Kimmel nemesis Matt Damon with little more than a stifled smirk.
