The Adorable New Trailer for Finding Dory Brings Back Old Friends and Introduces Some New Ones

The first trailer for Finding Dory told us the basic premise of the upcoming Pixar sequel, and showed us that the title is actually a bit of a misnomer: We’re not looking for a lost Dory, at least from the outset—we’re looking for her parents. Now, a new trailer brings back a few old friends (and plot points) from Finding Nemo, and also introduces some new ones.

Mr. Ray, our favorite stingray teacher, makes a triumphant return in the new trailer; a conversation with him about migrating home apparently jogs Dory’s faulty memory and makes her want to seek out her family. And Crush and his surfer bro-tastic gang of sea turtles are also back to help Dory, Marlin, and Nemo along. Unfortunately for us (but perhaps fortunately for the three fish on a mission), no sign yet of Bruce, the charming, well-meaning shark who’s also a failed vegetarian. Instead, we’re introduced to a bubbly whale shark named Destiny (voiced by It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s Kaitlin Olson), an old friend of Dory’s who assists her in her journey, rather than attempting to eat her. The movie hits theaters June 17.
