The 2016 Academy Awards aired on ABC on Sunday night. Going into the ceremony, The Revenant led with 12 nominations, followed by Mad Max: Fury Road with 10, while The Big Short and Spotlight were also expected to have a good shot at Best Picture.

In the end, Spotlight won Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, Alejandro González Iñárritu won his second Best Director award in a row (for The Revenant), and Mad Max: Fury Road had the most wins of any movie, taking home six Oscars with a near sweep of the technical categories. And, of course, our long national nightmare is over: Leonardo DiCaprio finally crawled his way across the wilds of America to pick up his Oscar. The complete list of winners is below.
