South Carolina’s GOP primary was good news for Donald Trump, and terrifying for America. Luckily we have Samantha Bee on Full Frontal to help us process it. She rolls a clip of one newscaster looking at an election map—mostly dominated by purple (for Trump) but speckled with green (for Rubio), as he notes the map looks like Barney. Bee couldn’t agree more: “You know, Barney—the atavistic monster with a limited vocabulary who appeals to people operating at the level of a 4-year-old.”
Bee said that 73 percent of GOP primary voters in South Carolina apparently also want to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.—a figure she represented with a convenient circular chart. “Oh look at that,” she said, “It’s like a NuvaRing of bigotry.”
