Watch Chris Martin and James Corden Ham It Up in the Latest “Carpool Karaoke”

In the latest edition of Carpool Karaoke, Chris Martin—ostensibly hitchhiking to the Super Bowl, where he’ll perform during the halftime show on Sunday—joins James Corden for some typically silly renditions of songs both new and old. Together, the Coldplay frontman and the Late Late Show host demonstrate why this concert on wheels is one of the most entertaining recurring bits in late night.

Both Brits relish the chance to show off their chops. Martin graciously sings backup on Coldplay standards “Yellow” and “Viva la Vida,” the latter testing the lower limits of his register, and Corden breaks out his best Beyoncé for the new Bey-Coldplay collaboration “Hymn for the Weekend.” The duo temporarily take the show off the road to pick up some important convenience store provisions—candy, shades and sporty hats—before resuming their set, which includes a nice little cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes.” But the highlights of the video are Martin’s surprisingly good impressions of Bruce Springsteen and Mick Jagger—he may have missed his calling as an impersonator.
