Imagine the possibilities!

’90s kids might have recently felt a tremor in the universe—a light rumbling that sounds a lot like a Wonder Ball commercial, or a splash of cold green slime. For those searching for the source, look no further: It appears that some of the Nickelodeon cartoons that engrossed us as children will be mashed together in one giant, nostalgia-baiting crossover movie. According to Deadline, Paramount is has tapped Jared Hess, the man behind Napoleon Dynamite, to write and direct NickToons. The film could reunite characters from shows like Rugrats, Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Angry Beavers, and more.

This report corroborates rumors last September that a live-action/animation NickToons movie was the works. Mary Parent, who produced the live action/animation The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, will also produce this film. As Deadline notes, this all kind of “sounds like Paramount’s answer to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Paramount hasn’t announced which characters and shows will be revived and united in this movie, but the mind boggles the possibilities. My best suggestion would be for Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters to team up with Ren, Stimpy, and that monstrously terrifying baby from Angelica Pickles’ nightmares to terrorize all of the Rugrats. Muscular Beaver could swoop in and save the day—joined, if fate and distribution rights allow, by Doug, who flew off to Disney/ABC in 1996, as Quail Man. Rocko and company could just marvel at the dark oddity of it all—and maybe crack a few wry jokes.
