On Wednesday’s Late Late Show, Adele joined James Corden for a round of carpool karaoke. Of course, she knocked her own songs out of the park—with some elaborate harmonies and solid hype-man assistance from Corden—but the real scene-stealers are the renditions of Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” and Nicki Minaj’s verse from Kanye West’s “Monster.”
Adele and Corden’s delivery on “Wannabe” is impressive—they actually know all the words and can keep up with the song’s breakneck tempo—but Adele stole the show as she rapped along with Nicki. Her facial expressions, especially, round out an inspired performance. And for her part, Nicki approves.
