One way to measure an artist's influence, of course, is in the fans who replicate and reinterpret the work they love. So as David Bowie leaves this Earth, it's both touching and heartening to watch this video of amateurs (and a few pros!) doing their best Bowie, singing his first solo hit, 1969's “Space Oddity.” Leading it off? Someone actually sitting in a tin can, far above the world.
