As American Idol filmed auditions for its final season, the judges met one particularly impressive up-and-comer: Kanye West. Kim Kardashian had previously shared a snippet of West’s bid for a Golden Ticket to Hollywood, and now E! News has the video in full.
After some slight banter with judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick, Jr., West introduced his audition song: “I just wanted to do something original. It has one of the judges’ names in it.” He then launched into a performance of “Gold Digger,” as a hopeful, pregnant Kardashian waited outside with Ryan Seacrest.
