Chewbacca Ate Han’s Brisket in the Bad Lip Reading of Star Wars: A New Hope

Han Solo and Chewbacca are the best of friends, but in this Bad Lip Reading of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, brisket might just come between them. As they’ve done with numerous cult classics, the talented folks behind Bad Lip Reading have made Star Wars twice as ridiculous by adding lines such as, “Look, I just need the Pickaxe of Cortez and the Mystical Diamonds,” and “A big Great Dane chased me up the mountain and froze.” And they’ve recruited Jack Black, Maya Rudolph, and Bill Hader (one of the actual voices of BB-8 in The Force Awakens) to do it.

Black voices Darth Vader, who keeps sending Princess Leia “helmet pics,” and Rudolph is Leia, who’s not having it: “The better Jedi would not send selfies.” Hader plays a dim-witted version of Uncle Owen. As lip readings go, Star Wars was probably a gimme given that half the characters are wearing helmets, but that doesn’t diminish the end result.
