Things look predictably bad for the future of mankind in the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. In director Bryan Singer’s follow-up to last year’s summer blockbuster, X-Men: Days of Future Past, a supervillain emerges who claims to be the “original mutant” and who might be a match for all other mutants combined. His name is Apocalypse, he’s blue and wears a neck brace, and he wants to destroy the world of course.
In the trailer, the X-Men appear to team up against Apocalypse to try to stop him and his four super-powered henchmen, two of whom appear to be Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp). Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), here known as Jean Grey, has a bad dream, bridges explode, and Jennifer Lawrence tells everyone to get it together.
