Jon Stewart Crashed Colbert’s Late Show, Channeled Donald Trump

Despite being retired, Jon Stewart has been making the late-night rounds to draw attention to an issue he cares about: health care for 9/11 first responders, aka the Zadroga Act. He popped up on The Daily Show Monday evening to share a video of him harassing real, live members of Congress, and last night he crashed Stephen Colbert’s opening monologue on The Late Show to deliver a shorter, Trump-ier version of the same message.

Because, as Colbert so rightly points out, no one—not the media, and not the American public—cares about anything unless the person saying it is literally Donald Trump, Stewart went a little out of his comfort zone to lobby for the Zadroga Act’s renewal. With the help of a copper combover and some Cheeto dust, Stewart made his most convincing argument to date: “Pass the Zadroga act, or I will glue Congress together, dip them in gold, and wear them around my freaking neck. Classy!”
