The Golden Globes Confused America Ferrera With Gina Rodriguez. Twice.

Two different actresses, respectively named Gina Rodriguez and America Ferrera.

The Golden Globes Twitter account had a rough morning—at least, when it came time to identify the people announcing the award’s nominations. Onstage were America Ferrera, Chloë Grace Moretz, Angela Bassett, and Dennis Quaid. However, promoting the event on Twitter, nominee Gina Rodriguez got tagged instead of America Ferrera. Twice. (The tweets have since been deleted.)

Perhaps it was a momentary brain lapse, or an intricate two-tweet typo. But still: yikes. The Golden Globes should know both these women well—they’re both former Globe winners. Ferrera won in 2007 for her performance in Ugly Betty, and Rodriguez won this year for Jane the Virgin.
