Many people thought Adele’s husky tone and soaring high notes were inimitable—that is, until they saw the viral video of Lydia Lee, a student from Seoul, South Korea, singing a beautiful, and uncannily Adele-like, rendition of “Hello” in what looked like a school practice room.
Naturally Ellen, who apparently employs a small army of YouTube scouts, invited Lee onto her show, where she predictably crushed it (and once again sounded exactly like Adele). She even had Lee recreate her school uniform, complete with black Vans high tops.
