“Wheel of Impressions” is The Tonight Show’s best recurring segment, a reliably entertaining game that lets Jimmy Fallon’s guests unveil their latent powers of mimicry. But Fallon’s latest opponent was no incidental impressionist: it was Dana Carvey, whose revered impersonations anchored SNL in the early ’90s.
Carvey and Fallon rotated through a grab bag of politicians and rock icons, but even Fallon’s rousing take on Mick Jagger couldn’t measure up to Carvey’s Paul McCartney. Enjoy.
