“The greatest gift a grandson can give his grandfather is a hot college girl who wants to have unprotected sex with him before he dies,” says Robert De Niro, neatly summing up the plot of Dirty Grandpa, in the first trailer for the comedy. In a movie that looks like a cross between Spring Breakers and The Hangover, straightedge attorney Jason Kelly (Zac Efron) and his recently widowed grandfather Dick (De Niro) go on one last wild road trip to Daytona Beach before Jason marries his boss’s super-controlling daughter.
The trailer for Dirty Grandpa is about what you’d expect, based on that premise: A few petty squabbles, a game of flip-cup, some accidental crack smoking, and lots of bikini-clad college women. One of those women is Parks and Recreation’s Aubrey Plaza, who shoves De Niro onto a fold-out bed and tells him to “open my bra like you’re opening a Social Security check.” Plaza’s performance might be the only reason to want to see Dirty Grandpa when it comes out Jan. 22.
