That buzz is only just wearing off, but the Daily Beast’s supercut of lightsaber duels makes for a pretty smooth chaser.
After all, besides Williams’ score, the Star Wars sound most deeply embedded in the social psyche is the warm, neon hum of a lightsaber’s ignition—an effect designer Ben Burtt achieved by combining the drone of movie projector motors with the crackle of TV signal interference.
