“Today’s kids don’t care about an old fashioned dinosaur zoo,” according to the honest trailer for Jurassic World. Apparently instead, they want product placement, souped-up dinosaur hybrids, and a whole lot of nostalgia.
The trailer notes how the movie plays on our love for the old movie, and also points out that Bryce Dallas Howard’s heroine is abnormally obsessed with “assets,” while Chris Pratt’s rugged hero character can’t stop talking about animals. There’s a villain of Dr. Evil-level ridiculousness. There’s silly footwear. And to top it all off, of course, there’s the monstrous dino hybrid itself, which the trailer aptly dubs “Plotosaurus Rex.”
