As the latest attempt to mine every last bit of meaning from the life of Apple’s late founder, Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin’s Steve Jobs will probably make lots of money and spark lots of debate. For those preemptively exhausted by that debate, there’s Conan O’Brien’s less controversial take on a tech biopic: Michael Dell.
Dell’s enterprise computing and distribution methods were, of course, major innovations, but they get a tad less buzz than the iPhone. As such, Conan’s fake trailer features Dell reciting his ideas to a snoozing boardroom and teaching subordinates the company’s mantra: “Don’t think different. Think same.” Unfortunately, we get no answer as to why that “E” is slanted.
