Andy Samberg Opened the Emmys With the Perfect Musical Satire of “Peak TV”

In a recent interview, FX CEO John Landgraf claimed that America had reached an age of “peak TV,” in which the average viewer could not possibly keep up with the glut of shows on air. Those comments prompted much debate, but Andy Samberg opened the Emmys with the final word on the subject: An elaborate, intensely charming musical medley about watching every single show on TV.
