Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone Throw Punches in the New Trailer for Rocky Spin-Off Creed

In the past few years, we’ve seen Mark Wahlberg, Tom Hardy, and Jake Gyllenhaal enter the ring. Now, Michael B. Jordan joins the fray in Creed, a Rocky spin-off, in which Sylvester Stallone will of course reprise his iconic role as Rocky Balboa. Ryan Coogler, who also directed Jordan in Fruitvale Station, will bring this newest entry into the Rocky saga to life.

Jordan plays Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, whose relationship with Rocky evolved from rival to friend throughout the franchise until he died in Rocky’s arms during Rocky IV. In Creed, Adonis struggles to live up to his father’s legacy and Stallone serves as his mentor—despite his own battle with cancer. Training montages and heated exchanges ensue. The movie hits theaters on Nov. 25.
