Wall-E might be cinema’s most adorable robot, but in this mashup with the trailer for The Martian, we find out he’s also one hell of a botanist. As those who’ve read the book know, The Martian follows astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) after he gets stranded on Mars following a violent storm. With only 50 days’ worth of food, he has to find a way to make it work for a few years until a rescue mission can make it back. The task sounds harrowing, but when audio from the trailer is synced up perfectly with video from Wall-E, as in this mashup from YouTube user Tony D, it’s also pretty cute.
