At long last, the lip sync smackdown of the century has made its way to the Internet. For days we’ve gotten teasers of Broad City creators Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer’s performances on Lip Sync Battle. Today, we finally get to see what all the fuss was about—and who won. Jacobson doled out a bit of nostalgia and then a whole lot of soul with “The Humpty Dance” and “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.” Glazer went for high-energy with her choices—“Hey Ya” and “It’s Raining Men.”
The two both gave solid performances at the beginning, but Jacobson’s cover of the Dreamgirls hit was truly inspired. In the end, despite Jacobson’s strategy of using Glazer’s “sex songs” against her, it was Glazer who stole the judges’ hearts with her final flashy, raincoat-clad performance.
