If Mad Max: Fury Road Took Place in the Star Wars Universe

There are very few things that could make Imperator Furiosa—Mad Maxs fierce, metal-armed, war-rig-driving protagonist—a more formidable warrior. A lightsaber is one of them. Enter Krishna Shenoi’s Road Wars: The Imperator Strikes Back, a thrilling mashup of Mad Max and Star Wars that sees Max, Furiosa, and friends being pursued by Darth Vader’s minions.

There’s some lovely detail in the video, which manages to pack in a fair amount of narrative cross-pollination: Vader takes the place of Immortan Joe, the War Boys ride shiny and chrome in a fleet of TIE fighters, and the locale is no longer a post-apocalyptic Earth but Tatooine, two suns and all.
