We might have an actual UFO landing on our hands in The X-Files revival. Or, at the very least, what seriously looks—based on this new teaser—like a turbine surrounded by a rising cloud of dust, followed by a shot of some very alert military personnel cautiously approaching the camera, along with a guy in a dark suit and hat. Maybe I’m pulling a Mulder here, but I want to believe.
In addition to the maybe-UFO, an arm is mysteriously injected with what I hope is not black oil. (If you stop the video at the exact-right second, you can clearly see the arm.) Of course, both Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) make appearances at the end of this trailer, as the iconic theme music plays in the background. The six-episode series premieres on FOX Jan. 24, 2016. In the meantime, there’s time to get caught up.
