Men have been incredibly shrinking in movies for decades, along with children, Indians, Beetlejuices, and many others. When it opens tomorrow, Ant-Man will continue a proud tradition of movies in miniature, revealing the secret majesty of a blade of grass or the perils of a bathtub filling with water. In this video, we celebrate that history, from B-movie battles with giant tarantulas to kids in pools of milk rafting on Cheerios.
