J-Law, Bradley Cooper, and Robert De Niro Reunite—Again—in the Trailer for Joy

Just in time for awards season, Joy will reunite the dream team of Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, and writer/director David O. Russell for their third collaboration after Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle. Joy is based on the true, Horatio Algeresque story of Joy Mangano, a single mom who, against all odds, founded a billion-dollar business selling such products as the Miracle Mop and Huggable Hangers. Russell told EW that this will be his first movie with one woman—Lawrence—as “the star.” According to Variety, Cooper’s character is an executive at the Home Shopping Network who helps Mangano sell her inventions. The movie hits theaters on Dec. 25.
