James Corden, Rod Stewart, and ASAP Rocky Make a Very Entertaining Karaoke Team

One of James Corden’s most popular Late Late Show bits has been “Carpool Karaoke,” a recurring segment in which Corden, in all his earnest, happy-go-lucky glory, drives around Los Angeles with a musician of choice.

His latest guest is Rod Stewart, whose smoky voice and tousled hair still hold up—though the latter, according to Stewart, needs 10 minutes of prep to do so. His conversation with Corden is good, discursive fun, and he manages to mostly elude the host’s queries about the “drinking and shagging” of his early days. Also elusive is ASAP Rocky, who slides into and out of thin air to accompany the duo with some backseat bars.
