“It is our duty as human beings to push forward into the unknown,” according to the latest Fantastic Four trailer, which premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, “but sometimes you’re looking to discover one thing, and you find something else.” Such is the case with the Fantastic Four, who will take on Doctor Doom (Toby Kebbell) this summer, as soon as they harness their accidentally acquired superpowers. And the new trailer gives fans a new glimpse of the hooded villain.
Miles Teller, Kate Mara, and Jamie Bell all look convincing as Reed Richards, Sue Storm, and Ben Grimm, but perhaps the most exciting addition to the mix is Michael B. Jordan’s Johnny Storm, aka Human Torch, who quips, “I’m gonna need a heat-resistant workshop … and a big-ass sunroof.” But the threat of Doctor Doom is looming—he promises, “This is the end of your world, and the beginning of mine.” The movie premieres Aug. 7.
