Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s “Pretty Girls” Video Is Hilariously Baffling

Still taken from the video

“Pretty Girls,” Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea’s summer anthem, sounds like it was written in a boardroom—but the video is a feat of true absurdity. In an apparent homage to the 1989 Jeff Goldblum movie Earth Girls Are Easy, Valley girl Britney and sexy alien Iggy cruise around town in a yellow Jeep, flipping their hair and stopping off to engage in shenanigans at a car wash.

I know what you’re probably thinking: Why pay tribute to a sci-fi comedy that most Millennials have never heard of? Enter Samsung! Iggy’s “radical alien powers” allow her to blow up TVs, make ATMs rain cash, and turn an old brick phone into a prominently-displayed Samsung Galaxy. Get it? Space? Aliens? Galaxy?! If blatant product placement isn’t your idea of funny, Iggy’s garbled Valley girl accent should do the trick.
