U2, the band behind the highest-grossing concert tour ever, gave a free performance to some lucky New York City subway commuters last night. As Stereogum reports, Bono and crew are currently in town prepping for a Tonight Show episode dedicated to them, and the performance is presumably one of the pre-filmed segments that will air in its entirety on the show this Friday.
