With Taraji P. Henson hosting SNL’s latest installment, Cookie Lyon was bound to show up eventually. And she did: Midway through the episode, we got a short, madcap sketch in which Lyon visits the denizens of Sesame Street.
Cookie isn’t the most friendly character the Street has seen, but it’s good fun to see her flaunt an unnervingly Elmo-like coat and tell Mr. Snuffleupagus to “stop rapping like you’re from the streets, because you’re not about that life.” Enjoy.
