Australian pop star Sia has released an official video for “Big Girls Cry”—from her 2014 album 1000 Forms of Fear—featuring the same young dancer who wowed us in the “Chandelier” video and danced in a cage with Shia LaBeouf for the “Elastic Heart” video.*
But this time, 12-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler contorts her face to express a whole range of conflicting emotions. Around the 1:50 mark, when a pair of strange hands enter the frame and begin to manipulate Ziegler’s face, the video becomes strangely moving.
