When you premiere quite possibly the most earnest late-night show on TV, it only makes sense to invite on one of the most earnest actors in Hollywood. And thus Tom Hanks appeared on last night’s The Late Late Show With James Corden for a particularly charming sketch.
Together the two went through lightning-fast re-enactments of Hanks’ filmography—yes, even such obscure duds like The ‘Burbs and Bachelor Party—with an impressive assortment of wigs, props, green screen backgrounds, and a whole lotta enthusiasm. Watch to the end for a particularly great rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.”
