Watch What Happens When Museumgoers see an Ikea Painting

Dutch museumgoers were abuzz at the work of renowned artist Ike Andrews, on display at a museum in Arnhem. Little did they know, they were being duped: The painting was actually a generic print from Ikea. (The pranksters behind the stunt, LifeHunters, also once tricked pretentious foodies into thinking McDonald’s was upscale, organic cuisine.)

“You can clearly see that it concerns a form of symbolism,” a man in a black beret drolly notes. Another man says if he could pay 2.5 million euros for it, he would—but anything more than that? “Too pricey.”
