Watch a Beautiful Recreation of “I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon,” Made With Toys

Since first appearing on Sesame Street in 1978, Jeff Moss’ “I Don’t Want to Live on the Moon” has proven to be one of the most touching and enduring musical moments to come from the beloved series. The song certainly had a lasting impact on Adobe designer Dave Werner, who has recreated the original stunning visual sequence with toys and an array of creative animated backgrounds.

He also reworked Moss’ beautiful song—and while I prefer that lighter, folksier feel of the original, Werner’s indie-rock interpretation is still a joy to listen to.
