Following its mysterious teaser, which was comprised of little more than one scene and some enigmatic voice-over from George Clooney, the full-length trailer for Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland was released on Monday. This one gives us a little more of an idea of what the upcoming sci-fi tale will be about, though there’s still a lot of curious imagery to puzzle over: teen Casey Newton (Britt Robertson) approaching the home of genius and recluse Frank Walker (Clooney) about the curious Tomorrowland pin; a super serious Hugh Laurie donning a futuristic space suit; lots of explosions; some sort of doomsday clock; a bathtub that shoots off like a rocket.

Bird has been notoriously tight-lipped about the details of the plot, but it now seems clear that Clooney’s Walker believes that the teenaged hero is some sort of chosen one. Why the future needs fixing at all, on the other hand, still isn’t clear. There are some bad guys with guns who seem to be against it, and there’s some news footage that vaguely suggests that there could be some environmental or socio-political themes. To find out the rest, we’ll have to wait untill Tomorrowland arrives in theaters this Memorial Day.
