After what seemed like a dozen opening monologues, montages, and musical numbers, we got the first straight-up sketch of SNL’s 40th anniversary special: a round of Celebrity Jeopardy hosted by Will Ferrell.
It was worth the wait. Ferrell’s Trebek impression is still sublime, and the writers work in a Bill Cosby joke, “filmed in June,” that’s so good it seems like it’s been years in the making.
