On Tuesday we got our first glimpse at the brilliant poster for Magic Mike XXL—the sequel to 2012’s male stripper phenomenon Magic Mike. A day later, we have its first trailer. And it certainly puts the film in the lead for the most unapologetically shameless movie of the year (nice try, Fifty Shades of Grey).
Ginuwine’s “Pony” makes a triumphant return. And so does Channing Tatum, in all his break-dancing beefcake glory, along with some fantastic phallic imagery. Ever wanted to see Joe Manganiello’s exploding crotch? Well, to quote the teaser’s hilariously self-aware title card: “You’re welcome.” The film opens July 1.
