Steven Soderbergh’s 2012 film Magic Mike was such a phenomenon that it managed, if briefly, to make male strippers a “thing.” So Magic Mike XXL is clearly one of this year’s most anticipated movie sequels.
Now Channing Tatum has revealed the poster for the upcoming film via Instagram, and it’s as beautifully unsubtle as Magic Mike itself. In a world of movie posters obsessed with innunedo, this one makes no attempt to be clever or coy (a la 50 Shades of Grey). It just gets straight to the point. It’s a masterpiece.
