Over the weekend, HBO started its marathon reairing of The Wire, now in HD. Baltimore Sun crime reporter Justin Fenton live-tweeted the marathon with some side-by-side photo comparisons of various locations from the show, both then and now, from Season 1 and onward. Between the photos, Fenton shared insights about urban development in the city since 2002, when the show first aired—pointing out both how much and, in some unfortunate cases, how little Baltimore has changed.
