In 2014, British import Charlotte Aitchison, better known as Charli XCX, finally became a full-blown pop star all her own, stepping out from the shadow of pop stars like Iggy Azalea and Icona Pop who scored hits with her hooks. This summer, she climbed the Billboard charts with “Boom Clap,” a hit of her own from The Fault in Our Stars soundtrack that also appears on her sophomore album, Sucker. That album isn’t out until Dec. 15, but you can now stream it a week early.

Rolling Stone has already placed Sucker in their Top 10 albums of the year, and it’s not hard to see why: Along with “Boom Clap,” the album is overflowing with pop-punk gems—“Breaking Up,” “Break the Rules, “Gold Coins,” among others—that flaunt her “pussy power” attitude and knack for turning a killer hook.
