Space is having something of a moment in movies. Whether it’s last year’s Gravity, this year’s Interstellar, or next year’s Star Wars sequel, the final frontier is hot, blockbuster fodder for the silver screen. Granted, that isn’t really a new trend, and to help put things in perspective Max Shishkin’s made a gorgeous tribute to cinema’s long, storied love affair with outer space.
Shishkin puts some real craft into this video: It’s edited with clear, rhythmic precision, and its calming effect is aided by a metronomic tick-tock playing underneath Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar soundtrack.
