SNL Cut This Awkward, Funny Sketch About Ferguson

For whatever reason, Saturday Night Live decided that this sketch, in which Kenan Thompson and Cecily Strong play the hosts of a St. Louis morning show, wasn’t worth including on this past weekend’s episode. The studio laughs aren’t huge, perhaps, but they don’t sound tepid to me—there’s even an applause break.

What’s more, the skit is a genuinely funny and frank attempt to find humor in something uncomfortable and topical. I wish they’d run it, but I’m glad they made it available afterward, at least. “Use the whole damn egg.”
