It can sometimes be a bit of a drag to keep up with the latest in politics. Luckily, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots have a solution: Every once in a while they invite a special guest onto The Tonight Show to “slow jam,” as they call it, the news. Tuesday night, they invited Brian Williams, who is celebrating 10 years as anchor of NBC Nightly News.
The news, this time around, was President Obama’s recent executive order on immigration. Not the sexiest of topics, but Fallon and Roots MC Black Thought did their best to make it sizzle with one of their slow, Barry White-style renditions. Williams mostly keeps a straight face, but even he gets in on the fun with a quick interpolation of “Baby Got Back” (a song he’s previously nailed).
