In anticipation of tonight’s National Book Awards in New York City, presenters Neil Gaiman and Daniel Handler competed in Washington Square Park to see who could give away the most NBA–nominated books for free. The line was long and the temperature was low, but fans wrapped around the block.
This reporter was too cold to stay till the end, but you can watch tonight’s awards by the warmth of your own computer starting at 7:40 p.m.
